I wanted to start this week’s Friday Five off by saying thank you to everyone for the positive feedback on my last blog. I had the largest amount of traffic that day in this blog’s short history so I have to thank all of you that shared the post on Facebook and Twitter or told your friends to check it out. I hope to continue to put out quality content that everyone can enjoy. With that said here is this week’s Friday Five:
Thoughts: This App was released around the New Year but I only recently heard of it. You select how many days you are going to exercise per week and each day you check in at your gym. As long as you meet your goals, you receive a small amount of money per week. For instance, if you select 5 days per week and you make it to the gym all 5 days, you receive $3.50. However, if you miss a day you have to pay the site whatever amount it is you chose to pay them as a penalty with the minimum amount being $5. It’s a pretty interesting concept. Fitness technology and Apps are a huge business that I think will continue to expand in the next few years. The problem that this app might have is that I’m not sure if people will feel like the reward is worth the risk. I’m going to start using it this week I think.
2) Tupac Hologram takes over Coachella
Thoughts: This was really awesome and just makes you think about how things could be in the future. Will there be a company that creates hologram images like this for individuals? Could you imagine having one of your deceased love ones show up at your wedding or for your birthday in hologram form?
3) Delonte West gives Gordon Hayward a “Wet Willie”
Thoughts: LOL, yet another basketball clip of someone doing something ridiculous. West is no stranger to controversy, whether it’s reportedly having sex with LeBron James’ mama or applying to Home Depot and a furniture store during the lockout. Although West didn’t give a proper “wet willie” from what I can see (he didn’t put his finger in his mouth first), he did have some pretty good form on the ear poke. He was fined $25,000 for the incident and in response he said “I didn’t think it was going to be that steep. That’s a whole month’s check for me, I probably won’t have cable in a couple days”. I guess he will have to have sex with Mama James again or see if Bed, Bath and Beyond is hiring. We had people add captions to the picture of this incident on the Spoolios Facebook page so go there if you’d like to contribute.
Thoughts: These type of diets are just plain stupid in my opinion. I mean, look how ridiculous that woman looks with the tube going through her nose. Add to it the fact that she is paying $150 a day to do it and that is almost definitely a temporary way to lose weight and it just doesn’t make sense. I know it isn’t easy for everyone to lose weight and people have time constraints, especially those planning a wedding, but there are so many healthier options than sticking a feeding tube in your nose for 10 days.
5) Double Take- Hot Problems (The worst song and video ever?)
Thoughts: I saw this video on Good Morning America this morning while I was at the gym. When I first started listening, I didn’t think I would laugh or think it was anywhere near as good as Rebecca Black’s “Friday” (obviously have to post this one below). As I got further into the video and song, I began to chuckle a little and I”m sure this will blow up to 10 million hits or so. However, it will never reach the greatness of “Friday” which is clearly the front runner for the Friday Five theme song. We so excited!
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
